Hanga is primarily spoken in an area west of the White Volta river and north of the Tamale-Damongo road (see map).

The Dictionary has been developed over 50 years by Geoffrey Hunt, but for more than 40 of those years I have been given permission to develop a version of the dictionary to reflect my comparative concerns and to be uniform with my dictionaries of other languages.
